Mumbai, Jan 7: Another spy video of the Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 shot in Indonesia demonstrates that the cruiser gets full-LED headlamps and digital instrumentation.
The new fairing, which draws inspiration from the YZF-R3, will get full-LED headlamps and not just LED DRLs.
The instrument cluster gets a revamp and is now a blue-backlit fully-digital unit. The 17-inch alloy wheels get a new design and ride on upside down front forks like its streetfighter sibling - the M-Slaz, and a monoshock. The raised rear section with split seats and LED tail lamp has also been designed along the lines of the M-Slaz.
Powering the new YZF-R15 will be a 150cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which will be updated to meet BS IV emission norms for India.
This YZF-R15 Version 3.0 test mule was spotted being benchmarked against the Honda CBR 150R. It will be presented in Indonesia in the following couple of months; however we may need to sit tight till mid-2017 for it to be propelled here (India). Until further notice, Yamaha will dispatch a quarter-litre streetfighter in the Indian market on January 24 which will be founded on the Brazil-spec Fazer 250.
