Nanda pairs with Poorna in 'Vellore Mavattam'

It looks like Tamil film directors are running out of titles as they've been constantly utilizing either the titles of yesteryear films or names of the cities.

In the recent time, it has been illustrious with film titles- 'Madurai-to-Theni: Vazhi Aandipatti', 'Renigunta' and now 'Vellore Mavattam'.

As the title suggests, the entire film is set in backdrops of Vellore district with Nanda performing a cop's role. The actor won laurels for his extraordinary performance as an antagonist in supernatural thriller 'Eeram'. He has almost completed shooting for yet another film of that same genre titled 'Anantha Purathu Veedu'.

Actress Poorna stars opposite Nanda in female lead role. The film is directed by Manohar of 'Maasilamani' fame and is produced by Kalapathy Agoram of AGS Entertainment. Sundar C Babu scores music while Vetri cranks the camera.
