Soundarya Rajinikanth's 'Goa' and 'Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai' are not releasing on Pongal. It's final now, as film distributors have decided not to release these films for Pongal.
For past couple of months, film buffs have been looking forward to the Pongal releases, which are meant to be big budget films.
According to the sources, 'Aayirathil Oruvan' has been passed with 'A' certificate while Dhanush starrer 'Kutty' with 'U' is said to be a clean family entertainer. Meanwhile, Simbu Devan's cowboy film 'Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam' will be censored shortly by next week.
But the release of 'Goa' and 'Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai' weren't confirmed till last week. Now we hear that Soundarya Rajinikanth, producer of 'Goa' has decided not to release the film for Pongal since it isn't a safe bet. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and is said to be based on Hollywood's 'American Pie'. Vishal's 'TVP' is likely to hit screens on Feb 14 for the occasion of Valentine Day.
