Govindacharya decries BJP support to JMM

Bhopal, Dec 29 : Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ideologue K.N. Govindacharya said Tuesday that the party's decision to support a Shibu Soren-led government in Jharkhand was "highly unjustified".

Govindacharya told a press conference here that the decision was not wise, given the character and conduct of Soren's Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), which he said was "entirely different" from the BJP.

Compromising party policies only to remain in power was neither in the interest of the party nor the nation, he said.

Govindacharya described as "totally uncalled for" speculation that he planned to return to the BJP.
