The director in Mahesh Bhatt has always taken pride to put the saga of his personal experiences beautifully on the canvas.
However, one movie which he still doesn't approve of although it turned out to be a big-time commercial success was Shabana Azmi and Vinod Khanna starrer Lahu Ke Do Rang way back in 1979.
"After making films on the subjects who appealed me I desperately wanted to make a commercial masala and earn some bucks out of it. Lahu Ke Do Rang eventually came into the picture which according to pundits, Lahu Ke Do Rang was a sure shot hit even before its release," says Bhatt.
He goes on to add, "However, my own creation could not convince me as soon as I watched it. I remember Shekhar Kapoor too was of same view when he watched the film."
Mahesh later gets realistic and thus signs off saying, "All said and done, I can't deny the fact- filmmakers got to churn out films as per the tastes of the audience."
