Two bodies found in Shillong

Shillong, July 14: Two bodies, including that of a college student, were found at two separate locations in this Meghalaya capital, police said Wednesday.

The body of 19-year-old Haominlem Chongloi, a student of St Edmunds' College, was found near the Madanrting police station Tuesday night.

Chongloi, who is a resident of Manipur, bore multiple injuries on his body.

Another body, identified as that of Montu Sen Gupta, 42, was found inside a culvert near PGT College, police said. Gupta had gone missing July 8.

"Investigation is on to find out the cause of the death," Deputy Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem said.
