Heavy rains likely in Assam, Meghalaya

Pune, Jul 12 : Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Arunchal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Prdesh.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep and at a few places in west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.

The southwest Monsoon has been active in West Bengal and Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. It has been subdued over Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in east Uttar Pradesh and at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Bihar and east Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha and at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Punjab and Gujarat region.
