New York, Sept.23 : Pakistan has reportedly prepared a plan of action against any addition of permanent members to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), high-level diplomatic sources said on Wednesday.
Geo TV and The News quoted sources, as saying that India will not be allowed permanent membership of the UNSC.
Both further quoted the sources, as saying that India's aggressive stance on the Kashmir issue will be discussed openly at the United Nations this time.
"Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will expose foreign involvement in initiating terrorism in Pakistan," Geo TV and The News quoted high-level diplomatic sources, as saying.
They added that while Prime Minister Sharif will be meeting various heads of state at the UN, including that of US and China, he is unlikely to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The diplomatic sources were also quoted, as saying that, "Pakistan will not fight Afghanistan's war on its own territory."
The Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) in a press release on Tuesday said, "Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will lead the Pakistan delegation to the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York from 25 to 30 September 2015."
The FO further said, "The prime minister will address the General Debate of the General Assembly on 30 September. He will articulate the government's vision of a peaceful neighbourhood and economic development, and share with the world community, Pakistan's position and priorities on key international and regional issues."
