Sankararaman murder case posted to Jul 9

Puducherry, Jun 18 : Puducherry Principal District and Sessions Judge D Krishna Raja today posted the Sankararaman murder case, in which Kanchi Acharyas Jayendra Saraswathi and Vijayendra Saraswathi are prime accused, to July 9 for further examination of prosecution witnesses.

The case could not be taken up here today because of court boycott by the lawyers.

Because of the boycott, none of the 24 accused turned up before the court. Only their lawyers were present.

Notably, that till yesterday 55 of the 92 prosecution witnesses examined had turned hostile.
