Photography workshop for blind in Goa

Panaji, May 29 : Mr Partho Bhowmick, the man behind the snapshots, accompanied by visually impaired Kanchan Pamnani and Pranav Dal, had an interaction with the members of the National Association of the Blind (NAB). While conducting a photo workshop for the blind here today.

The workshop was conducted at the NAB office at Santa Cruz in collaboration with Heritage Jazz.

Mr Partho told the members about how his interesting project came about. He had researched the topic of blind photography so well that he yarned to impart his knowledge to the visually impaired, Pratho added.

It takes Partho two to five months to train visually impaired individual to take pictures. His workshops are free of cost and held only on weekends.

President of NAB (Goa) Rozendo Mendonca earlier explained to them about the projects undertaken for the welfare of the blind.

Senior Vice-President of the Association Usha Kamat, Treasurer Vijay Shetty, Joint Secretary John Aguiar and Vice-president Vincent Monteiro among others were present on the occasion.
