Summer Vacations for Jammu from June 1

Srinagar, May 25 : Jammu and Kasmir Government has today ordered 55 days Summer Vacations in Jammu division with effect from June 1.

An offical spokesman said here this evening that all Educational Institution including recognised private schools upto Higher Secondary level failing in the summer Zone of Jammu division shall observe 55 days summer vacations starting from 1-6-2010 to 25-07-2010.

It has been ordered that five day summer vacations from 01-06-2010 to 05-06-2010 shall be observed by the Educational Institution including private recognised institutions of winter zones falling in Jammu division.

Any default on the part of private schools in observance of the calendar of vacations shall attract action under the rules, spokesman added.
