Tillotama enters into its 14th year

Kolkata, May 21 : The 14th edition of Eastern India's biggest beauty pagent, 'Tilottama 2010', was announced here today.

Hailed as the most prestigious beauty contest of eastern India, the event has proved to be a stepping stone for Bollywood actresses like Bipasha Basu, Celina Jaitely, Koena Moitra among others.

It has also given a platform to local beauty aspirants such as Dimpy Ganguly, who married Rahul Mahajan in a television reality show, Dipanita Patra, Madhabilata Mitra and others.

Following the overwhelming response in this region, the organisers had decided to give beauty aspirants from Bhubaneswar and Jamshedpur in addition to Kolkata and Guwahati a chance to showcase their talent this year.

Besides sponsors and the organisers, two finalists from the previous edition were also present during the launch.
