New Delhi, Sep 3 : A new cadaver training and research facility was inaugurated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here Wednesday to offer hands on training to young surgeons across the country.

The centre situated at the Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre is the only facility of its kind in the country, an official said.

Sumit Sinha, a doctor with AIIMS' neuro surgery department said: "The primary purpose of the cadaveric facility is for the training of undergraduate, postgraduate medical students and the surgeons from all over India and abroad through regular structured fellowship programs."
