A fire broke out in Kolkata's landmark Chatterjee International building Tuesday, an official said.

Fumes were first seen coming out of the building's 15th floor, where four people were trapped, the fire brigade official said.

At least 15 fire-tenders rushed the spot to control the blaze which has spread to the 16th floor of the commercial building.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
