Afghan presidential candidate Abdullah threatens to withdraw from election audit
Afghan presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah has warned that he would withdraw from an Audit of votes cast in the June 14 elections.
An attempt by Abdullah to withdraw could destroy all efforts by the United Nations to bring democratic power in the country, reported the Dawn.
Both presidential candidates Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani, who faced a tough stand-off during elections claimed victory amidst accusations of fraudulent activities.
Abdullah won the eight candidate first round elections in April but June results stated that he had been far behind Ghani.
