Pakistan to deliberate over resignations of PTI lawmakers
In light of the resignations tendered by all the Pakistan national assembly members of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party, the speaker of the assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has called the heads of all political parties on Monday.
However, according to reports, leader of opposition and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) member Syed Khursheed Shah has warned Sadiq that the resignations of the PTI members will not defuse the political tension that has plagued the country for close to a month. He also added that the PPP stood for a democratic process and would reject any extra-constitutional measures.
Meanwhile, PTI chairman Imran Khan swore to not get married till a 'Naya Pakistan' emerged, reports stated.
