Internacional have moved to the top of Brazil's Serie A standings with a 1-0 win over Goias.

The hosts looked the better side for long periods at the Serra Dourada stadium in Goiania Saturday before Pedrao turned the ball into his own net in the 77th minute, reports Xinhua.

The victory was Internacional's fifth in succession and took them a point clear of defending champions Cruzeiro, who have a game in hand.

Goias have fallen to the 10th, 11 points behind the leaders after 15 matches.

In Saturday's only other fixture, Bahia moved out of the relegation zone by holding Corinthians to a 1-1 draw in Sao Paulo.
