Anjolie Ela Menon inaugurates Art-in-Industry

Jamshedpur, Feb 6 : The Centre for Excellence in Jamshedpur commenced the much awaited celebration of art called the Art-in-Industry Camp 2014 on Thursday.
Organized every year since 1943, Art-in-Industry this year brings together eminent artists and young talents at the camp from Feb 6 to 9, 2014.
T V Narendran, MD, Tata Steel, India and SEA along with eminent artist Anjolie Ela Menon inaugurated the event on Thursday.
Welcoming all the celebrated artists and the participants at the camp, Narendran said, "Tata Steel has always extended support towards promotion and preservation of India's rich cultural heritage. Art in Industry is yet another initiative to strengthen and promote the traditional and contemporary art forms in the country. We at Tata Steel are delighted to have so many eminent artists here at the steel city. The art camp will bolster the confidence of a large pool of upcoming talent participating in the camp."

Talking about this platform and her incessant love for art, Anjolie Ela Menon said, "Art-In-Industry is a great initiative by Tata Steel to help budding talent grow and be nurtured in the guidance of accomplished artists. The focus of the initiative is well-being of artists as much as art itself as an artist's creativity has to be unfettered in order to grow and mature."
The art camp will not only witness the finest work of art from the eminent list of artists but will also offer a rare opportunity to the students from the city's art schools and institutions to showcase work to veterans of art at the workshops for art students which will be conducted by Shantkumar Hattarki and Manash Ranjan Jena.
