Praising the new team announced by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah, senior BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain told ANI that the new team will aim to bring the BJP to power in the region.

Hussain said, "Amit Shah has selected a good team. There is a lot of youth in this team.The previous team which included Amit Shah himself has brought us to power in the last elections."

BJP president Amit Shah announced his new team today which comprises of eleven vice presidents and eight general secretaries.

Hussain, who has been retained as the party spokesperson, said the new team will aim to bring the BJP to power in the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana, Maharashtra and Bihar.

"This team has a good balance of old and new party workers. I am happy that I have been retained as the party spokesperson," he added.

Commenting on Varun Gandhi's exclusion from the team, he said, "Every team has its own limitations, because of which, everyone cannot be included. Those who have not been included are also good party workers."

The new BJP vice presidents are B Dattatray, B S Yeddyurappa, Satpal Malik, M A Naqvi, P Ruppala, Prabhat Jha, Raghuvar Das, Kiran Maheswari, Renu Devi and Dinesh Sharma.

The new general secretaries are J P Nadda, R P Rudy, Muralidhar Rao, Ram Madhav, Saroj Pandey, Bhupendra Yadav, R S Kateria, and Ram Lal.
