Cops raid Cliff Richard's home amid sex offence claims
Cliff Richard's home was raided by the police in relation to the alleged sexual assault of a boy in the 1980s.
The officials have reportedly interviewed a man who made claims against the singing star, dating back to when he was under 16 years of age, the Daily Telegraph reported.
According to the police cops from South Yorkshire gained entry to a property in the Sunningdale area of Berkshire and searched the property.
A search warrant was granted after police received an allegation of a sexual nature dating back to the 1980s involving a boy who was under the age of 16 at the time, though no arrest had been made and the owner of the property wasn't present.
Richard had earlier made a brief statement saying he had been aware of rumours circulating about historic allegations of an assault but he said they were "completely false" and that up until now he had have chosen not to dignify the false allegations with a response, as it would just give them more oxygen.
