King Digital shares fall following decline in popularity of Candy Crush
Britain's highest valued games company King Digital lost almost a quarter of their value after the company reported a decline in the popularity of its most successful games Candy Crush Saga.
The company is under serious turbulence after revealing second quarter revenue and profits that were much below expectations.
Last year, the company said that 97 million people had been playing Candy Crush every day.
According to the Guardian, drop in revenues from Candy Crush accounts for five percent of the total revenue.
The bookings of Candy Crush Saga peaked in the third quarter of 2013 and the rate of decline started by the end of the last quarter.
