Reaffirming his confidence in Saeed Ajmal, world's top-ranked spinner who is now embroiled in a controversy, former Pakistani Test leg-spinner Abdul Qadir has said that the cricketer will come out clean after the International Cricket Council (ICC) probe into his bowling action.

Qadir said that Ajmal had also been reported in 2009 but was later cleared by the ICC, reported the Dawn.

The cricket council had earlier asked the off-spinner to undergo testing within 21 days but permitted him to continue bowling in international cricket during this period until the results of the testing are known.

Pakistani off-spinner Ajmal had been reported with a suspected illegal bowling action during his side's seven-wicket loss to Sri Lanka at Galle International Stadium in the first Test match of the two-match series.
