Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious plan to build 100 smart cities would get a fillip during External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's visit to Singapore Aug 15-17 as the island nation has offered to help India with it.

Sushma Swaraj is travelling to Singapore as part of the 50th year anniversary of India-Singapore diplomatic relations.

External affairs ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said at a press briefing Wednesday that the minister would meet Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and also interact with eminent leaders and think-tanks of the country. She would also interact with the sizeable Indian community there.
