Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers has promised to bring an end to Liverpool's 25 year title draught, and win a title soon.

Rodgers said that if they fail to lift a title this year, then it will happen soon.

Next May, it will be a quarter of a century since Alan Hansen became the last Liverpool captain to lift a championship trophy. And, while many fans have spent the summer anguishing over how close Rodgers' men came to finishing first last season, the Kop boss insists there is no lingering sense of regret inside Anfield, the Metro reported.

I wasn't lying on a sun lounger on a beach over the summer crying and fretting over the fact that we lost the league. There is only an excitement and a belief inside the club that we can challenge again for the title this time.
