Sam Smith has been roped in to perform the theme song for the 24th James Bond movie.

The 'Money On My Mind' singer has recently released his debut album 'In The Lonely Hour' and film executives are certain that he has the power to follow up Adele's success, the Daily Star reported.

Sources added that Smith, who won the Brit Awards Critic's Choice Award earlier this year, is the "top choice" as he has an "astonishing voice to record a Bond theme" and can put up a competition to Adele's Skyfall, which won her an Oscar, Bafta, Golden Globe and had a global No1.
