Prince Charles miffed at ex-aide for spilling beans about Princess Di marriage in tell-all book
Prince Charles is reportedly very furious at his former aide, who is set to reveal secrets about his relationship with Princess Diana and the breakdown of two other royal marriages in a new tell-all book 'On Duty With The Queen'.
The Queen's ex-Press Secretary Dickie Arbiter was blasted at by Charles for "betraying" him in the explosive book, the Mirror reported.
According to sources, the Prince of Wales is furious as Arbiter was a trusted friend and it was him who stood by the prince during the bitter breakdown of his marriage to Diana and his affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles.
The insiders added that Arbiter raking over the breakdown of the marriage and it is just a case of a man who Prince thought was a friend and who could be trusted cashing in on the misery of that time and that Arbiter has been told that he does not have official permission to write this book and a legal team has reviewed all his old contracts in a bid to try and find a way to stop it.
The ex-aide, who has previously blasted others for selling royal secrets, stands to rake in around 250,000 pounds from publishing advances and serialisation fees and still receives lucrative pension payments from the Royal Family.
The book is said to "delve into the dark days" of Diana's "isolation" and "humiliation" as Charles' affair with Camilla first came to light.
