Kolkata fashion school hosts Chroma 2014

Kolkata, Feb 5 : Glaamour School of Fashion and Interiors recently held the annual fashion show called 'Chroma2014' here, where it showcased themes like the Queen of Spades, Vampires and Flowers from Another Planet among others.
Tollywood actress Sayantika Banerjee stole the show in the winning sequence of the elegiac love story of 'Nakshi Kanthar Math' at Chroma.
The fabrics in this sequence were mainly cotton, linen, raw-silk and silk in soft pastel shades like grey, blue, sap-green, off-white and so on.
Bengal's 'Kantha' work dominated the designs in this winning sequence.
The runway was flaunted by other renowned models like Madhabilata, Ishika, Subhomita and Dimpy.
Moksh, 'Nakshi Kanthar Math', Escape from Reality, 8P.M., Break The Lines, Life In New Black, Umbrella, Rolling Future On A Paddle Wheel, Fireflies and many other such themes grabbed the eye at this year's fashion show 'Chroma'.
Sheena Singh, Director of Glaamour School of Fashion and Interiors, said, "I am very privileged to present the talent to the world and Chroma 2014 is the signature statement made by our batch of young designers from Glaamour." She added, "On the myriad canvas of apparel and textile, it marks their journey along with their alma mater in realizing the diverse cultures and ethnicity which makes Indian fashion so unique."
The graduating students individually showcased their talents through their collections while the junior students formed small groups to do the same.
The collections were completely done by the students, right from the designing to cutting, stitching and finishing of the garments as well as the props.
The students were judged on the basis of different categories like 'Best Design' 'Collection', 'Best Theme Interpretation' and others.
Sixteen sequences, crafted by thirty students, each with a different theme kept the audience glued to their seats.
