Fiat Group Automobiles India Private Limited (FGAIPL), the fully owned subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, on Wednesday unveiled Fiat Avventura, (which is making its global debut in India), Abarth 500 and the new Fiat Linea at the Auto Expo.


Speaking about the showcased vehicles at the Auto Expo 2014, Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India Operations, said, "The introduction of new products for the Indian market is in line with our long term strategy, which puts us in a strong position to penetrate the market. Today we showcase some of our key products from our future Fiat and Abarth portfolio for India. We are proud to present Avventura CUV (Contemporary Urban Vehicle) first to the Indian market."

"The second key product from the fiat brand is the New Linea, which further strengthens the existing mid-size sedan segment. We are also proud to announce the launch of the Abarth brand in India - our racing-performance lineage brand and showcase the Abarth 500 - the flagship product of the Abarth brand worldwide. India is one of the most strategic markets for the Fiat Chrysler group and we are committed to provide the best in class technology in automobiles and service. Opening 100 exclusive dealership across the country, in a span of one year is a testament to this commitment," he said.



The new Fiat Avventura concept vehicle takes shape of a contemporary urban car.

Fiat has also introduced the New Linea for the Indian market. The new Linea will come with an entirely new exterior and interior styling with improved interior comfort, cruise control, new audio system with USB + Aux-in & Blue Tooth compatibility, reverse parking sensors, rain sensing wipers and much more, the company said in a statement.

Fiat group also confirmed the launch of the Abarth brand in the Indian market, with the launch of Abarth 500 .



The car is loaded with features like gas discharge headlights, sunroof, cross drilled brake disc, sports seats, lowered suspension with up-rated springs, 17" alloy wheels, 7 airbags, turbo boost gauge, twin exhaust outlets, ABS, EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistance), parking sensors, fog lights and Hifi music system.
