India's Om Parkash Singh Karhana finished sixth in the men's shot put final of the 2014 Commonwealth Games at the Hampden Park Stadium here Monday.

Om Parkash, who threw 18.98 metres in the qualification round, could only manage 18.73m in the finals.

Jamaica's O'Dayne Richards broke the Games record with a throw of 21.16 to take the gold. New Zealand's Tom Walsh (21.19) took silver while Canadian Tim Nedow had to content with bronze.
