Security was beefed at all stations of the Kolkata Metro Saturday following a call that threatened to blow up the Park Street station, an official said.

"We received a phone call at our control room threatening to blow up the Park Street Metro station. We have informed the police about the call and security teams have been deployed. Search operations are being conducted at all stations," said R.N. Mahapatra, chief public information officer, Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation.

Mahapatra said: "The police are looking into the details of the call and trying to locate from where it was made."
