Life remained affected for the third day today in Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where a top militant of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was killed in an encounter with security forces on July 5.


Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads in Aripal, Tral and other adjoining areas, which witnessed massive protests after the killing of JeM militant on Saturday. Demonstrators also set on fire two vehicles of police.

Work in government offices, banks and educational institutions was also affected

However, additional security force and police personnel remained deployed to prevent any untoward incident.

Today is the fourth day 'Fateha' of slain militants.
