Andhra Pradesh govt seeks Rs 5,000 Cr initially for new capital
Andhra Pradesh government led by N Chandrababu Naidu today asked the Centre to release Rs 5,000 crore initially for creation of a new state capital.
Talking to reporters after meeting of AP state MPs (from all parties) with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said all MPs were apprised of 35 main issues on which Centre should be approached to get more funds to the new state.
Even invited for the meeting in advance, the MPs from YSRCP , who abstained from the meeting, were not interested for AP development, the Minister said.
While the congress RS MPs who attended the meeting, tried to find fault with the Chief Minister and TDP for not fulfilling poll promises.
Union Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju also participated in the meeting.
