Andhra Pradesh government is committed to provide quality education
Andhra Pradesh Minister for Human resources development and education, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the state government is committed to bring reforms for quality education by strengthening the government educational institutions.
Addressing the media after inaugurating the state universities vice-chancellors and Registrars interactive session here today, Mr Srinivasa rao said that the Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu was keen to bring reforms in the education to provide quality education.
He said the chief Minister had already asked the vice
chancellors of the universities to take up skill development programmes in their universities for employment generation.
He said the government asked the universities to submit performance report twice in a year and increments and promotions for the faculty members should be linked with their performance.
admitting that all the universities in the state were
facing with financial problems, he said the state government would take all measures to provide financial assistance to the universities.
.he said the discussions are on whether to establish separate central university or to upgrade the present andhra university.However, he said one central university will be established in the state.
He said one IIM, IIIT and a Tribal university will be established in visakhapatnam.
Vice-Chancellors and registrars of Fifteen Universities took part in the interactive and review meeting at the andhra university here today.The Vice-Chancellors universities will exchange their views and experience.
