AP Dy CM pays homage to Alluri Seetharamaraju
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and also Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said that efforts were being made to install the statue of Revolutionary Alluri Seetharamaraju in Parliament hall.
Speaking at a function after paying homage to the statue of Late Alluri Seetharamaraju to mark the 117 birth anniversary of the great revolutionary at PR Government high school here today, he said Alluri by his revolutionary movement inspired people during freedom struggle and also organised the tribals against the autocratic rule of the British and he should be emulated by all the younger generation.
Mr Rajappa has assured to provide funds for the renovation of class rooms in the school that are in a bad shape., Vanamadi Kondababu city MLA who has presided said that Alluri Seetharamaraju was a student of PR high school and the students should emulate him in achieving their desired goals in life.
Chaitanya Raju MLA has requested the state government to name either one of the airports in Rajahmundry and Visakhapatnam after Alluri Seetharamaraju and also to develop Mogallu village in West Godavari district where Alluri stayed for some time, as a tourist place.
Collector Neethu Kumari, Joint Collector R.Mutyalaraju, DEO Srinivasulu Reddy and DPRO Francis were among those attended.
