CDC advices Americans to 'use latex condoms' while attending Winter Olympics
The Centers for Disease Control has issued a list of "healthy recommendations" for people attending the Winter Olympics in Sochi, which includes using latex condoms.
The government agency has also advised people to get vaccinated, pack smart for their travel, carry the proof of their medical insurance and learn about emergency exit locations, the Washington Times reported.
The CDC website has also told Americans to not inject drugs and limit their alcohol consumption, as people are more prone to take risks when they are intoxicated.
They also warned people about sharing needles or any similar devices that can break the skin, and asked them to make sure that medical or dental care equipments are disinfected or sanitized.
CDC director Dr. Tom Frieden added that planning ahead for safe and healthy travel will only make one's experience at the game more enjoyable.
