Italian striker Mario Balotelli might have opened the gates for a move to Arsenal after his agent insisted that the forward is ready to quit Serie A club AC Milan.

Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola has claimed that the Italy star has been left sad and desperate after AC Milan failed to back the striker following his disappointing World Cup campaign.

According to the Mirror, AC Milan vice-president Barbara Berlusconi claimed that Balotelli was replaceable and the ex-Manchester City striker has been widely criticised in the Italian media.

Another AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani defended Balotelli but the Italian giants are believed to be ready to sell for around 25 million pounds because of financial reasons.

Balotelli is keen on a move back to the Premier League and Arsenal has been sounded out as Arsene Wenger looks for a top class striker with Alexis Sanchez, Loic Remy and Mario Mandzukic also potential targets, the report added.
