BJP demands resignaton of 3 'tainted' ministers in Karnataka
BJP Karnataka unit President Prahlad Joshi today demanded resignation of three 'tainted' ministers in the Congress Government in the state for indulging in various irregularities.
Speaking at a BJP meeting here, wherein newly elected Legislative Council members Prof V S Sankanur was felicitated, Mr Joshi said Housing Minister M H Ambareesh, Cooperation Minister H S Mahadeva Prasad and Wakf Minister Quamrul Islam were facing serious charges of irregularities and they should resign.
He said Mr Islam had been indicted by a house panel of misleading the legislature, while Mr Ambareesh was impartial after he allotted houses in Assembly segments where Congress won.
'Being a minister Mr Ambareesh should have been impartial when it comes to the interest of the poor. But he has badly failed and should quit. It is the same case with the two other ministers,' he said.
Giving a call to BJP activists, Mr Joshi asked them strengthen the party at all levels. In some of the constituencies, the party has lost some percentage of votes and all the workers should concentrate on this sector, he said.
