Karnataka Govt announces Rs 2 lakh compensation to Akshatha's family
The Karnataka Government today announced Rs two lakh compensation to the family of a four-year-old girl Akshatha, who died after accidently falling into an open borewell in at agriculture field of Nagareana village in Bijapur district recently.
Akshata, who was chased by street dogs, fell into a 30 feet open borwell and succumbed due to suffocation. More than 50 hours of rescue operation went in vain.
District In-charge Minister M B Patil had aleady announced Rs one lakh compensation.
