Gautam Das Sharma hosts photo exhibition
The saying 'a picture speaks a thousand words', was exactly reflected through the photographs of Gautam Das Sharma showcased at an exhibition here on Friday.
This event was organised by the IndiSmart Group in association with www.sholoanabangaliana.com as the web partner.
Also present on the occasion were Tollywood actresses Sayani Datta and Sohini Sarkar among others.
The exhibition titled, 'Sight to Insight' which was about the beautiful phenomenon of exploring the unseen things, depicted Sharma's uncanny ability to see things that are beyond the common man's line of sight.
He portrayed the beautiful clicks of Kolkata's colonial structures and the banks of the river Hooghly.
Sharma said that, he first started clicking photographs with his Yashika camera, when he used to click house photographs some 35 years ago, and then gradually his focus shifted about 4 to 5 years ago in clicking the beautiful picturesque of Kolkata.
He said, "I look beyond historic places where even the simplest of things can be turned out to be a good picture. I had the burning passion inside me which drove me to click wonderful pictures of Kolkata."
