Union Agriculture Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Friday slammed media reports that said he met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in New Delhi on post- Lok Sabha polls alliance.

"News of my meeting with Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Jan 17 appeared in a news paper is completely mischchievous, baseless and false," tweeted Pawar.

"During state visits or in Chief Ministers conferences in Delhi, I meet CM's and barring these occasions, never met Modi in last one year," he posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Pertinently, NCP is a key ally of the ruling Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA).
