AAP appeals to government against raising gas prices
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday appealed to the Central Government not to raise the prices of gas as it will lead to price rise.
'According to the news reports, the new government is about to do the same. If this happens, then prices will shoot up. We appeal to the government not to go-ahead with this decision,' Kejriwal told media here today.
'The erstwhile Congress government wanted to double the prices of the gas so as to benefit Reliance Chief Mukesh Ambani. The AAP had appealed to the Election Commission and had got it delayed,' he added.
He also raked up the issue of Foreign Direct Investment in Defence and said, 'We also read about 100 percent FDI being allowed in the Defence Sector. This will be a bad move. Defence of our country will go into foreign hands. They reconsider this also.'
He congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the becoming the PM and hoped that the BJP will live upto the expectations of the people of the country.
