Union Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman here today said NDA government was committed to the development of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states with special focus on food processing industry in Telangana.


On her maiden visit to Telangana after taking charge of the ministry she assured both the states that a Gujarat model of growth will be implemented for speedy economic growth in the region with priority for employment generation .

After a brief felicitation ceremony at the BJP office in Barkatpura here, she said would personally talk to the union minister of Food processing so that value could be added to the food produced in Telangana in view of the rail,road and air connectivity available from Hyderabad .

Expressing concern over the growing atrocities on women, Sitharaman said the manifesto based agenda of BJP will implement the NDA policy on FDI in retail sector with equal partnerships of the state governments.

Nirmala Sitharaman a JNU alumni in the Ravishankar Prasad team of BJP National spokesman runs a school and also a public institute in Hyderabad and is on way to attend the swearing-in ceremony of TDP N Chandrababu Naidu tomorrow .
