The Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville has inducted 12 new honorees across the genres, including bluesman Buddy Guy, British rock guitarist Peter Frampton and pedal steel player and country singer Barbara Mandrell.

This marked the first time that members had been inducted into the hall of fame since 2009 as the hall's previous location had closed in 2010 and their new permanent space inside the Municipal Auditorium opened in 2013, CBS News reported.

Also inducted were Randy Bachman from The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive, country musician Jimmy Capps, bass guitarist Will Lee, rhythm guitarist Corki Casey O'Dell and country guitarist Velma Smith.

Posthumous inductions went to Stevie Ray Vaughan, along with his band Double Trouble, and pedal steel guitarist Ben Keith.
