No check in increasing rape and murder incidents in Uttar Pradesh
The body of another girl was recovered in Unnao today.
The girl was suspected to be gang raped before being brunt alive by the accused.
This comes as a shock and shame to the cops, who, yet to make any breakthrough into the alleged gang rape and murder of an unknown girl whose body was recovered in Bahedi locality of Bareilly on last Saturday.
In Bareilly incident too, the accused burnt the face to conceal the identity of the victim.
Police reports said Ram Naresh, pradhan of village Chanderkhera under Asoha police station in Unnao, informed the local police that they saw a body of an unknown girl, who was probably in her mid-thirties lying on Zorawar road, adjacent to Bedinali jungles, this morning.
The victim seems to be sexually assaulted before being killed and the accused also tried to burnt her alive to conceal the crime.
Her body was recovered with almost hundred percent burn injuries.
Local police sent the body for post-mortem examination, claimed that they were waiting for autopsy report to confirm whether the girl was gang raped or not as they suspected that it could be a case of honour killing also.
Meanwhile, the state police still failed to check crimes against members of fairer sex as more cases of rapes and attack on girls have been reported during last 24-hours.
In the first case reported at Kasganj, a case of rape was lodged after 18 days of sexual assault with a minor girl in Ganjdundwara area.
The victim, aged 12, had gone to fields to attend the nature's call, when some unknown miscreants nabbed and raped her.
Unfortunately, local police refused to register a case and the FIR was registered only after the intervention of Superintendent of Police Vinay Yadav.
In another case reported from Pratapgarh, a girl was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped by three persons in Mandhata area.
The victim's family have alleged in a complaint that their daughter was kidnapped by the trio on May 26 when she had gone to collect her examination results.
She was spotted by the family on a bus stand two days later, they said.
The girl was also raped by the three accused, the complaint said.
A case of rape has been registered against the accused and they were arrested yesterday, police said adding, further investigations are on in the case.
In Sambhal, a 15-year-old girl was raped at gun-point by a youth in Firozpur village. "The victim was working near an agricultural field when a youth identified as Kasim of the same village raped her at gun point,' said Circle officer Jagvir Singh Atri.
A case has been registered against the accused who is absconding, police said adding, the victim has been sent for medical examination. In Kannauj, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Madharpur village here, following which the youth was arrested today.
The girl was raped by the youth last night, in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, Anand Mohan Jaiswal said.
The accused is identified as Bhullar, who lives in the neighbourhood.
Meanwhile, the locals including family members of the victim pelted stones and manhandled the accused when he was being taken to the district hospital for medical examination this morning, police said.
It was only on the mediation of police that they were pacified, they added.
In one more case reported from Deoria, a six-year-old girl was raped by a youth after being lured at Pakdi Khas village in Khukhundu area.
Police Superintendent, S Chinappa said Girijesh Tewari(30), a neighbour of the victim, lured her to a secluded spot after promising her to give a chocolate on Monday last and fled the scene after raping her.
The profusely bleeding girl somehow reached home and was rushed to the district hospital from where she was referred to Gorakhpur medical college hospital when her condition deteriorated, the SP said. A case has been registered and the youth was arrested.
Lastly in a report lodged with Pahadi police station in Chitrakoot yesterday, 17-year-old girl hailing from Raipurwa hamlet of Pahadi, went to work in fields when she was nabbed by Mukesh Mishra, Vinit Nai, Chotu and Babloo Singh. Later all the four accused gang raped her and escaped.
The girl was sent for medical examination and efforts were on to nab the accused.
Meanwhile reports from Jaunpur confirmed that a jilted lover slit open the throat of his paramour in Baksa area last night. The youth identified as Anupam, was having a one-sided love affair with Renu (19) of Badauna village.
Furious over the girl's wedding, which was scheduled tomorrow, the youth murdered her last night.
