2 Bangladesh nationals sentenced for over stay, flesh trade
Two Bangladesh Nationals were sentenced to three year rigorous imprisonment on charges of over staying and indulging in flesh trade by City Fourth Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Raghu Kumar.
The Judge also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them.
The convicted were Mohammed Bashher Shaikh and Mohammed Asar. The third accused has been released for lack of sufficient evidence.
Disposing of a charge sheet filed by Kuvempunagar Police under sections 5. 6 and 7 of the Registration of Foreigner Rules alleging that Shaikh and Asar had been staying despite Visa period having expired and indulged in flesh trade, the judge, who found Shaikh and Asar guilty of charges, sentenced them to jail while letting off the third accused citing lack of evidence.
