Britain is a nation of fibbers who lie around 3 times a week on an average, revealed a survey.

In a study conducted by Ronseal, it was found that according to nation's current population, which is approximately 63 million, only 14 percent of people believe they are completely honest whereas 16 percent admitted to have told their "big lie" within the fortnight, the Daily Star reported.

While men are most likely to fib about doing DIY and praising their female partners, the women mostly lie to their partners saying they're fine even if they aren't.

It was also found that 40 percent of people think it is fine to lie, with one-third of those surveyed happily fib on their CV, while 14 percent believe it's not.

Meanwhile, only 13 percent lie about their age and 19 percent about their weight.
