Ex-Zimbabwe skipper Heath Streak appointed as specialist bowling coach for Bangladesh
Former Zimbabwe Test captain Heath Streak has reportedly been appointed as a specialist bowling coach by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for a two-year contract.
Streak, who played in 65 Test matches and 189 one-dayers, had been Zimbabwe's bowling coach from 2009-13 and will join Bangladesh prior to next month's three-match ODI series against India.
According to Sport24, the former all-rounder said in a statement that he is looking forward to the challenge of working with Bangladesh and thanked the BCB for the opportunity.
Streak further said that it is exciting for him to be back into the international coaching arena again, adding that it is his passion to coach at an elite level and he is hoping to bring his experience as a former player and coach to the Bangladeshi bowlers.
Earlier this month, former Sri Lanka batsman Chandika Hathurusingha was named as head coach of the Bangladesh national side, the report added.
