All ex-Ranji players from UP to get pension
All retired Ranji trophy players from Uttar Pradesh would now get pension, an official of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) said Tuesday.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the working committee of the sporting body in Kanpur Monday.
Under the new scheme, all the 61 ex-Ranji trophy players from the state would be given a one-time pension ranging from Rs.50,000-Rs.1 lakh.
The criterion for different bands would be decided on the number of matches and domestic outings in the tournament by a player, an office bearer said.
