Padma awardee Sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik today created a sand sculpture of India's newly elected prime minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif with a message 'Peace gets a chance' at Puri beach of Odisha today.


The sand artist who has participated in more than 50 international sand art championship Congratulated Mr Modi for inviting Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to attend the swearing in ceremony to be held tomorrow at Rastrapati Bhawan

Mr Patnaik said this is for the first time that heads of the states of SAARC nations have been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister.

He hoped that visit of Mr.Sharif will create a good atmosphere in improving the relation between the two countries.

With a hope for a better relation with Pakistan,the noted sand artist has created this 5 feet sand sculpture of both Mr Modi and Mr Sharif with there national flags.

Mr Patnaik used about 6 tons of sand with some colour sand and took almost 4 hour to complete the sculpture.
