Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Wednesday reached Jodhpur to appear before a trial court and record his statement in the Arms Act case against him which is connected to the poaching of a blackbuck in 1998.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate had summoned the actor to appear before the court.

Khan was exempted from appearing before the court so far.

The blackbuck killing dates back to 1998 when Khan and other actors, including Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam, were shooting here for the film "Hum Saath Saath Hain."

Khan was accused of possessing arms with an expired license during the poaching incident in 1998, reports said.
